Electronics and household app.
I have recently purchased an attic stairwell through the Home Depot website. They do not carry the size I needed in the store, so the service lady advised me to buy it through their web site.
These are the issues I've encountered:
1) It took a long time for them to deliver it.
2) It was very poorly packaged - when it got delivered to my home the box was all torn up and mangled. I decided to keep it, because the product itself, luckily, only had minor scratches, and I didn't want to wait another two weeks to get the replacement.
3) The installation kit was not included in the package. I had to go to my local Home Depot store to get it. To be fair a store associate gave me a kit for free, but I did have to spend gas and time to make an extra trip.
4) The stairwell itself was sloppily assembled - the plywood was crooked and there was almost a half an inch gap between it and the frame on one side. It took me an hour and a half to unscrew it and screw it back on properly.
5) I would consider all of the above minor inconveniences. What ticked me off the most was the following actions by the Home Depot: I received an e-mail from them asking me to rate my purchase. I wrote the review listing the above concerns.
A couple of days later I received another e-mail from Home Depot saying that they rejected to post my review (the one that they themselves asked me for) because, i quote: "Your review contained an issue related to the shipping of a product."
This just shoes disregard and disrespect.
