LG's attitude about customer service

Electronics and household app.

We purchased a refrigerator from a local supplier in Massachusetts and exactly 1 year and 1 month later, the refrigerator went out totally. We called the LG customer service line to get the name of an authorized repair dealer and only 3 names came up. One was in Texas! We did have the repairman come out and he did fix the refrigerator to the tune of about $300. We wrote to LG in the hopes they would consider the time frame and at least pay for the parts. We couldn't do anything. We had copied in our local appliance store and learned that our salesperson was pursuing the issue. It was through his vigilance and persistence that we did get satisfaction. Even he could not believe the attitude of LG towards customers and indicated that to LG's regional office with a suggestion that his store did not have to carry LG—especially if customers would come back with complaints.
