Sadly, Sears has no accountability with their products and their technicians. I too have waited for technicians. Most of the time they show up but their diagnosis of appliances is always different and they avoid ordering parts at all costs because ordering parts means your appliance is disfunctional and a disfunctional appliance needs to be replaced after 4 part services in one year. If technicians come and "band aid" your appliance without parts - it doesn't account as a disfunctional visit, and Sears buys more time. Surprise, you only get 4 part replacements in a year to qualify for a new appliance.
For a refrigerator purchased at Sears, we have had 2 years of MULTIPLE technicians in our home; refrigerator is very loud so they continue to do things like, hmmm replace the motor and 2 ice makers replaced, the frost free refrigerator always has frost and ice sheets in it - frosting inside refrigerator is ongoing - we can't use our crispers and there is a defrosting coil ritual - a work around that buys time inbetween actually replacing parts which has been done multiple times as well. Four technicians have defrosted the refrigerator to no avail - it gets iced up worse than my mother's 1960's refrigerator we had to defrost once a month.
Isn't Sears responsible for stopping these "work arounds" for part replacements and technical visits?

The Manufacturer agreement finally expired after multiple repairs - now we are in the Protection Plan agreement and we have been subject to incompetent repair work and technicians who have 1.) not shown up after a 4 hour wait or 2.) show up and do a "band-aid" to keep the coil from frosting over for a few weeks and then it happens again. There is no recourse. We keep getting tossed around to different departments who put us on hold and tell us to have a nice day.
Sears - a lack of work ethic and a lack of accountability or responsiblity to their customers.
