Direct Tv. Is great untill you want to change companies. Although I haven't been a customer in several months I have recieved a $200 bill. They claimed when the technical people who recieve and for all intents and purposes "clean" the returned recievers checked my "card" they found an unpaid for ppv event. So, in essence, what they are telling me is that I bought an event, they decided not to charge me for this event, and then when I cancelled my service, they happened to find on my card. My question is... What about the movies that I've ordered (all this taked place through the remote) I've ordered with the remote, was told to check my phone line, and never watched. (Such as the prior mentioned PPV, but I did call and order the PPV, and paid) Why were these not suddenly "found" on the card as well? Same principle, same ordering technique, I guess the card did not remember those.

In addition, the week they require you to return a reciever (s)... Make sure you keep calling. They charge you anyway if you choose not to call and conform it's safe return. How do I know, it was on this bill as well.

Never accept their retention program. When you want your service eliminated, they offer you a $150 in credit. If you accept and switch your subscription, they will charge you the amount that your service would normally cost and they DO NOT disclose this at the time of the offer.

They will cowardly do this sometime after you eliminate your service. Please send a message that these practices will not be accepted. If you are a dtv subscriber, stop. If you are thinking about switching to Direct Tv... Don't do it. Their commercials lie and before you know it, you will be up to your neck in fees. They just conveniently omit what ridiculous fees they do charge.
