Buyers Beware!
I am not happy with WALMART!!! I visited the Wal-mart superstore in Maricopa AZ. On 11/22. There was a 26" Vizio being advertised for $248. I thought wow this would make a great crhristmas gift for my 3 kids... Great I'll take 3. Well the store was all out, the helping attendent did check the inventory of other store's before referring me to Walmart.com. I went online to see if the 26" Vizio was in stock and to my surprise not only was it in stock but the price was also different.instead of $248 the price is now $324. I immediately contacted walmart online customer service in regards to the price. I explained to the customer service rep. My situation she advised me that walmart.com and walmart store's are two different company's! It was explained to me that walmart.com will not price match or adjust prices's to match a walmart store because walmart.com and walmart store's have nothing to do with each other! I was amazed that a company would tell a consumer that. I asked to speak to a supervisor my call was immediately transferred to a sup. The supervisor just reiterated what the rep. Told me. WE ARE A SEPERATE COMPANY! I then asked to be transferred to a higher point of contact. My call was transferred to a Manager out of the Missouri office by the name of Deetta B. Deetta B. Once again just reiterated what was said previously by the rep. And supervisor. WE ARE NOT THE SAME COMPANY! We dont price match with walmart store's. We have our own inventory! My question to the manager was " As a consumer how am I suppose to know that walmart stores and walmart.com are two different company's when you guys operate and advertise as one?! It just sounds and looks to me like walmart is trying to use the old bait and switch routine to get shoppers to buy at a higher price! The store's advertise great price's but they dont have the inventory so they refer you to the website which is another company that has the merchandise in stock but at a higher price. And they dont call this bait and switch! Right!
