"I have been having issues for about the past month with it not providing enough power to the 12V output. It has been causing my computer to completely freeze when doing different things. For example: if I'm watching a movie it will stop the video and freeze the sound as a repeating buzz of what sound was being said. I know its the 12v that is the problem because I updated all my drivers and on my BIOS hardware monitor it shows a 12v voltage of only 11.187v.
When I'm in Windows it varies from that 11.187v to 11.78v (im using a hardware monitor in Windows) but never gets to 12v at all. It has been getting worse slowly over time and now its freezing almost daily. The fan is also ridiculously loud for a "silent fan". When I turn it on it stars off almost silent but then it gets louder and louder and its louder then all 3 of my other case fans and CPU fan combined!
Sometimes its so loud I need to turn up the volume on my movies and games to hear over it. Its been that way since I got it but I have needed my computer for school and couldn't send it out, but now that I am done, this needs to be fixed. Please let me know what you can do."
Cost of power supply: $45 CAD
This is the actual e-mail I sent to Coolermaster for an RMA request. They approved it but wanted me to ship it to them and pay for it! It would cost me about $40 to ship from where I live just to get a new one and I'm not doing that when I can buy a different and better brand that has adequate power supply to all the rails and a DAMN QUIET FAN for only like $20 CAD more! They wouldn't even meet me halfway to pay for the shipping. Please for those thinking of buying this DON'T I beg of you, for the headache it has caused me it's not worth it.
