Charged credit card a week before item was supposed to be shipped. Called to discover never in stock and not shipped 9 days later

Electronics and household app.

On 05/07 ordered a Garmin GPS unit 205W from phantomalert online. Said the unit was in stock. Credit card charged $195.99 on 05/08

Order never confirmed. Filed ticket with the company. No answer about the order confirmation or ship date. Filed another ticket a day later with same results.

Began calling on 05/11 and was told that the unit had to be ordered and would ship out either monday or tuesday. Not shipped nor confirmed. Called again and was promised the unit would be in their inventory and would ship no later than 05/13 or 05/14.

Called on 05/15 and was informed unit still not in stock. Told customer service to immediately cancel the order. Was advised customer service cannot cancel the order and that the person responsible for cancellations not in until noon eastern time today Friday 05/15.

This is not a reputable company and i strongly advise customers not to conduct business with phantomalert. This is the first time in decades where i have been charged for a purchase and not be advised of the status and stock a week after the fact.

I placed an cancelled an online order within 10 minutes, they charged me a "cancellation" fee of 5% for nothing!
