Insignia products, safety recall insignia 26" flat panel tv... You lose 66% of your investment

I received a letter today from Insignia, signed by Fernanod Silva and Sean Wilson, both VP's of Best Buy Canada. Apparently my TV, model # IS-LCDTV26 which I bought in the summer of 2005 goes on fire! I paid $1500 for this TV and here's the deal: They will send me a box to ship it back to Insignia via Purolator. They will then send me a gift certificate FOR $500 redeemable at Best Buy. Five hundred bucks! You've got to be kidding. THIS IS A RIP OFF TO THE Nth DEGREE.
