Direct TV 2-week cancellation policy is bogus

I recently wanted to try Direct TV, the salesperson told me I had a 2-week cancellation period after install to cancel without fees. However when I went to cancel after 13 days the person I talked to told me that policy was only good for certain states, and I wasn't one of them. This company blatantly lied to me, and now are trying to charge me $460. I can't believe a company can be this corrupt. Stay away from them. This can't be legal.
