Fret-audio.com
Total misrepresentation of merchandise for sale

Electronics and household app.

The site advertises new McIntosh components for sale at ridiculously low prices, i.E. MA6900 integrated amp - $600 (MSRP $5500-$6000), C2200 tube preamp - $800 (MSRP approx. $4500), XRT28 speaker system - $1500 (MSRP - approx. $20,000).

On Sun., Feb. 1 I processed a purchase for 2 MA6900 integrated amps for a total of $1320 delivered. The purchase process was accomplished via PayPal.
Within minutes of completing the purchase online, I received an email from the same individual - Ananda - who had responded to questions about my purchase prior to processing the transaction. Ananda suggested some difficulty via PayPal. At the same time I had an email transaction record from PayPal suggesting payment had been made to fret-audio.com.

I have contacted my credit card provider and the charge will be disputed and removed from my account when the merchant provides more specific transaction information to my credit card provider.

I did send a summary note to the merchant listing the items ordered, the order number, the dollars paid and a request for shipping notification and tracking information. Nothing further has been received from fret-audio.com.
