They will not drop my instant messaging

When I signed up with T-Mobile, I asked for NO text messaging.

They said I would not have any. Then, because the new number they had given me had just been removed from another T-Mobile customer, I started getting all these text messages. When I call them and explained that I don't have text messaging, they said I had to pay for the text messages regardless.

They did not explain to me that I could cancel my text messaging at their web site after logging in. After canceling the text messaging at the web site, it said my text messaging would be canceled in a couple of days (by Jan 3rd.)

THEN another message to me later in the day said that text messaging would be canceled by Feb 3!!!

Since the person who had this phone number just prior to my getting it was a teenager, I am getting a lot of texts. I think it's a scam that they would take a month to remove the text messaging capability, because in a month, this person who had the phone before me will have told all his or her friends of their new number but until then, I AM STUCK with paying for all of these texts from them. I hope you folks can help me with this issue, because T-Mobile doesn't seem to care to help me at all.

My second complaint is a sensitive one. I am not in any way shape or form a racist. I believe in equal opportunity for all. But whenever I call T-Mobile customer service, most of the folks I talk to their cannot communicate in English. I am not talking about accents here but an inability to communicate in English properly. It is difficult, especially when you are already frustrated over an issue with the company you are dealing with, to have this much difficulty in trying to UNDERSTAND what a person is saying who cannot speak the English language properly. Please understand, this IS NOT a race issue. I come from a multi-cultural family myself.
