Sold me a product that has no replacement parts

I purchased a portable DVD player from Walmart in June of It was a Durabrand model # PDV 705 serial #A70133318116. Around August the lid on it broke and I contacted the store to see if I could purchase a replacement lid and was told I was out of luck! I also contacted the walmart help desk on several times to report my problem and they could not come up with a solution. I have since found out that Durabrand went out of business in 2007. That's when I purchased the DVD player and Walmart should not have even sold this product if they weren't going to stand behind this brand.
