Sold Durabrand portable dvd players with manufacturer warranty knowing manufacturer went out of buisness

Purchased a Durabrand Portable dvd player pvd 722 from walmart with manufacturer warranty, but manufacturer went out of business (before we purchased it). Walmart knew it too. Called and they will not help me. They gave me a number to a company that didn't even manufactured the dvd player. Told me to call number on back of player. Disconnected. Advised them that the manufacturer went out of business and she told me that I must be mistaken and that they have not heard of it. Told them then why is the customer number she gave me is the wrong company and the number listed on my player is disconnected. She couldn't answer me. Player is no good. Will not play ANY dvds. Just says no disc. E-mailed corporate office, no answer yet from them.

Big ripoff!!!
