Battery Pack will not hold a charge

Can not contact organization. Purchased a Dvd/Disc playerwith a Durabrand battery, design BAT-09 Dc 7.4V 2800mAh won't maintain a cost. Participant may perform so long as connected to a wall-socket but normally battery isn't worthwhile. Participant Explanation 9" Portable DVD Player DC 9V 20W. I purchased from the Walmart Shop in Laurel Maryland. Please direct me to any recognized resource for aid.
