We bought our 65" Mitsubishi DLP television, complete with stand, surge protector, surround sound, cables, and the infamous GE Extended Warranty.

First of all, HHGregg does not tell you that the extended warranty they are selling is through an individual contractor. We assumed it was through them or Mitsubishi. We did not receive a contract. They say your receipt is your contract. I've contacted GE Extended Warranty to send me the warranty twice. One through the mail, and one by email, to no avail. They are a bogus company, which has no intentions of helping anyone solve their issues. I have been given a dozen numbers for them for help and everyone wants to pass the buck.

We purchased this TV, in Jan. Of 2007 for the Superbowl. Within a week, after much fuss, it had to be replaced. Now, within the last 3 months, the lamp has went out 4 times. We had to take off work because Electra-Sound, their service provider can only give a 3 hour window. So after missing part of days of work 4 times, the television still does not work. It has been out a week and a half this time. Electra-Sound does not know what they are doing. GE refuses to help, in fact, they are only counting the four times as two. The first time, not the second time, because it was within 30 days of Electra-Sound being out there, the third time, not the fourth time, because the service tech brough NOTHING to fix the TV with. No lamp, and I was out a half day of work. They are all rip-offs. I contacted HHGregg who agreed with me that this was a lemon. He emailed his vendor dept, they would do nothing because of the GE Extended Warranty. Mitsubishi will do nothing because of the GE Extended Warranty. I say its HHGregg's fault for EVERYTHING because they sold us this piece of crap AND the warranty. But they will take care of nothing either. So, we have a $4000 piece of crap sitting in our living room with a black screen.

I really hope to be contacted by the media and expose all of them. I'm already going to Turn to 2 news in my local area, and contact the BBB on all four of them.
