Kenwood Poor quality goods at high prices

I wanted to buy a hand blender, I saw the Kenwood Wizard HB655 and thought, that Kenwood is a very good brand and as it was the first Food Processor (Kenwood Chef) I remember from when I was a child. I thought, buy it. It cost me 238Grn! (almost 50 USD) I got it home and washed it up and started to use it. It came with a Chopper attachment which I had especially searched for. I followed the instructions to the letter, not running the motor more than 50 seconds, in fact I didnt run the motor for more than 30 seconds at any one time.

One and a half weeks later I was using it to chop some vegetables (Chilies) and the chopper stopped working and would not turn anymore, the second time I had used the chopper attachment by the way.

I took it back to the shop and was told that I would have to take it to the service center. Okay fine I thought, they'll change the part and all will be good. WRONG! They point to a little clause in the guarantee that says accessories are not included in the guarantee (something that is in the package is not under guarentee???) and that I would have to BUY a new one from the shop that just happened to be across the hall way from the service center. Convenient!

I went to the shop and asked about the part and the lady behind the counter said it would have to be ordered and that it would cost me 100Grn (20USD), almost half the price of the machine. I could have bought the product without the chopper and saved myself some money as now I have the most expensive hand blender in the shop and am NOT happy about it.

I refuse to pay twice for a part that was obviously of poor quality in the first place and that as far as I can see was not an accessory, as it came with the model I bought.

Because of this I have changed my mind about Kenwood products and would definitely NOT recommend them to anyone. I think it's an outrageous way to treat customers and especially in a country where 238Grn can be almost half a months salary and to have to pay an extra 100Grn for a part because of poor quality, makes it even worse.
