C534n rebate: broken promises

Electronics and household app.

I purchased a Lexmark c534n color laser printer in June. I sent my $350 rebate request by certified mail. I have the delivery confirmation receipt; it shows that my rebate request was received on June 18.

I heard nothing about the rebate from Lexmark for the next three months, so I called 1-888-320-3201 to inquire about the status of my rebate. The customer service representative (CSR) informed me that a check had already been sent. The CSR verified my address. The CSR then informed me that Lexmark would issue me a new check. I would receive it in 4-6 weeks.

Again, I heard nothing from Lexmark for the next three months. So, I called the same number and spoke to another CSR. The CSR informed me that a second check had been sent. The CSR verified my address. The CSR then informed me that Lexmark would issue me a new check. I would receive it in 4-6 weeks.

I waited two more months, but heard nothing from Lexmark. So, on February 15, I called the same number and spoke to another CSR. This time, the CSR informed me that, because the rebate period had ended, she could not issue me another check.instead, she would give her supervisor a special request form. The CSR told me that I should hear back from someone at Lexmark within 7-10 days.

It has been 15 days, and I still have not heard from anyone at Lexmark.
