Fotoconnection deceptive practices & credit card fraud

I placed an original "package deal" order for a DSLR camera online. Like others, I received the telephone calls about upgrades and lies about battery life, out of stock lenses, etc. I authorized by telephone only an upgrade of a 4 hour battery for an additional $109.00. The package was supposed to be shipped FREE 3-day service, no sales tax.

When I got the "order confirmation" by email requesting final approval for credit card authorization, the balance charged had been inflated by more than $120.00! I tried to select "I DISAPPOVE" the order, but naturally the link would not work so I closed the email without approving the order and immediately emailed for an itemized listing of the charges before I would approve. A reply email stated they could not provide an itemization as the order was a "package deal" and please call customer service.

I called several times asking to speak with those sales reps that had contacted me before by telephone, was on HOLD for way too many minutes each time and transferred from person to person repeatedly! I emailed CANCEL ORDER IMMEDIATELY, but rec'd only automated responses. Kept receiving requests to "approve" the order in my email box, so I ignored and deleted them.

Yesterday, I received an email that said my order had been SHIPPED!!! Furious, I fired back an email stated they had NO right to ship an unconfirmed order or charge my credit card, so I called the CC company and reported the incident as an unauthorized charge! I also called "customer service" again after being on hold multiple times, through multiple persons, and finally reached "Reggie" who told me to "just refuse the shipment, and we'll credit your account." He then just hung up the telephone on me!

This company is clearly a SCAM, I'll keep you all posted on what my credit card company does with this!
