Promised Free HD Receiver and Premium Channels Never Provided

Promotion #23836707 was to give me free installation, a free HD receiver or DVR upgrade, free HBO, Cinemax and Showtime for three months, and a portable DVD player. I did receive free installation, but that was all.

I signed up for this service on July 29. They installed the system on Saturday, August 4. I received a bill from DirecTV for $112.71 on August 14 and was told this amount must be paid by August 24. I called and was told that a rebate would be put toward the bill and that I could call a number after 4 working days to get an updated bill. The bill stayed the same.

I feel I was misled and taken advantage of. I would go back to cable if I did not fear all the other fees they would attach.
