Corrosion damage 7001 Development Drive

Electronics and household app.

I bought a sony ericsson w300i cellphone. After a few months of use some of some of the keys have stopped working. I took the battery out and put it back in but now I can not use the phone. Because of failing keys I can not enter the code to unlock it when I first turn it on.

I contacted Sony Ericsson to see if they can repair the phone. They first asked me to check the phone at the bottom corner where the battery is placed and ask me what color it was. It was white. This is an indicator to check if the phone is water damaged, and mine was ok, so they email a rma number, they said there were going to repair at not charge.

I sent the phone to them, and I just got it back with a letter attached with picture, saying that the cellphone had corrosion. They automatically assumed is from water but I know I never had it wet, even their own indicator shows that. For this reason they could not fix it, this voided the warranty. Now I have to buy a new phone.
This is very disapointing, Sony Ericsson builts lower quality cell phone that corrodes easily with humidity on the air, or the design is so poor that can not keep anything out and now I am out my money and my cell phone.
