I purchased a motorola SLVR L6 phone from their kiosk in az mills mall. The rep Matt claimed it was a the latest TMobile phone and they were offering it for $50 & had a 50$ mail in rebate, and there begin my woes.

Well I bought in, it sounded like a sweet deal, even if i didnt get my 50$ rebate. Later that evening, I realized that the phone does NOT work with TMobile voice mail system. Every time you dial in, or if someone leaves you a voicemail, you get a garbage message (Alpha Delta something.) Googled it out; the phone needed a SEEM edit.

I called up Tmobile, to ask them why my voicemail won't work, they said that its not a TMOBILE phone! I was like WHAA? So I go back to Matt (and his manager, Daniel is there too) at the kiosk, on monday 7/24/06, and ask him if he has a fix. He tries a bunch of stuff, doesn't work. I asked him why this is not a T mobile supported phone, and WHY does it not have Tmobile embossed on it anywhere. Then he tells me, its an unlocked import from europe!

At this point I am FURIOUS. I ask him to take it back and null my contract that he renewed for 2 years. Of course, he says he can not. So well the first thing I need to do is get a TMOBILE phone, so I can now deal with Tmobile customer care (who are awesome by the way). So I return the L6 & take a free samsung instead. The mobile solution refunded me the 50$ instantly (to my credit card), no issues about that.

So now I have a tomobile phone, I call up 611 & ask em if I am still under the 14day no BS return policy. And they confirm YES I am. I should go back to the dealer, return the phone WITH the box & have him call then & have my contract cancelled.

Tuesday morning 10 AM, at the kiosk. There are 3 reps, Matt, two others none of them helped me with cancelling the contract. They repetedly told me that they have not been trained on it and I must wait for their manager Daniel. Daniel shows up, believe it or not, at 1:30! Yes I stayed there, didn't budge from there.

Initially he claims he CAN NOT anull my contract. I made him call Tmobile & talk to them in front of me right there. And guess what After 2 work days of runnin up n down to the mall to get this fixed, he finally anulled my contract, BUT yea there's more..

TMS charged me a 10$ contract renewal fee, and To date, that HAS NOT BEEN REFUNDED.

Thank god I didn't get trapped in their other warranty and mail in rebate frauds.

NEVER DEAL WITH THEM, I am glad I acted fast and came out of contract within 3 days. And Many thanks to the awesome TMOBILE REPS, you ROCK.
