Ripoff fraudulent termination charges

Were customers for full 24 mo. Contract plus 2 weeks. Even verified the contract start date to be sure. When we changed to Cingular 2 weeks AFTER our contract expired the tried to hit us with a fraudulent early termination fee ($150.00 per line, in our case 3 lines = $450.00!). When calling customer service to inquire the bill they stated the we had renewed our contract 4 months before by accepting a %5 discount on our monthly rates, and that had started the contract period over! We demanded to see written authorization or phone recording with our signatures or voice accepeting these terms. The immediatly stated they could not produce proof of authorization and dropped the charges... in my opinion was just a scam to try and get what they can from vulnerable customers...
