Over the phone, the salesperson for Best Price Cameras GUARANTEED that the Nikon D200 I was about to purchase was a Nikon USA camera, with a Nikon USA warranty.

During the first day of use, the camera malfunctioned. When I sent the camera to Nikon for servicing (under the conditions of the warranty), Nikon sent the camera back stating it does not warranty gray market items.

Best Price Cameras response - too bad. They indicated that I may have not understood or heard the salesperson properly. That is a lie, I knew exactly what I was looking for. I now have to pay to have the camera repaired on my own, if I can find a Nikon authorized repair facility in my town.
