Free AOL Offer Paperwork Never Sent Despite Repeated Calls

The system was installed on 5/15/01. I ordered a package which included free AOL for one year. I was told that I would receive information from DTV that I would fill out and then send to AOL. After one month I called to ask where it was and was told it had been sent, but they would send it out again.

This continued for the past year. I would wait a couple of months (the rep told me to wait up to 3) and call back. 4 times I was told the information had been sent out again. Keep in mind I got a bill every month; they can get that there just fine.

Finally, I was told yesterday that this offer had to be turned in by July 01 and they could do nothing about it. The only reason I chose the more expensive movie package was because the free AOL would offset the extra cost. In the end I am out 200 bucks for AOL this year, and DTV doesn't care. As soon as the funds allow, I will be calling the cable company.
