Cingular Wireless
Ripoff Phone won't work They refuse to sell us another one unless we sign another 2 year contract

Electronics and household app.

Have had Cingular Wireless cellphones for the past year and a half. Have been through 4 phones and the 4th one just froze. We contacted Cingular Wireless about this problem but due to our contract ending in August they refuse to sell us a phone unless we sign another 2 year contract. They said all the phones they have are for new 2 year contracts.

After we refused to sign another 2 year contract they told us if we bought a phone that is compatible to their phones they would activate the sim card for that phone. We then purchased a Cingular Samsung-New in the box - from a friend. We then called Cingular Wireless and asked them to activate the sim card for that phone.

We were then told that the sim card we have will not work for that phone. We were then told that we could buy another sim card through wireless but still in order to activate that sim card we will have to sign a 2 year contract.

We feel that Cingular is not honoring their end of our contract. We are still having to pay $74 a month for our phones even though one is not working.in order to get out of our contract it will cost $175 per phone.

I feel if they refuse to sell us a phone that will work then we should legally be able to get out of our contract.
