LG Electric - smoothtop range - LG Electric Range - LRE30453ST

This has to be THE WORST electric range you could ever purchase. It has been a nightmare. We received this as a gift - so returning it after 2 years is not an option. We have had LG out - the amount to fix was outrageious... Think before you purchase this:
complaints:
1. We have had 3 burns - from the self cleaning cycle. The black top becomes DANGEROUS to touch. My father burned his hand. I burned my finger and a child that we had over burnt the top of index finger. SO DANGEROUS -cant understand why there is not a recall.
2. When you are cooking stovetop - the oven will not turn on. You have to wait until the stovetop cools down - then it works... And this is very intermittently.
3. The touchpad is horrible. We have been so careful to not get water near it - but when you are boiling on top of stove - and steam hits it - it does not function.

Quite simply the worst investment my mom ever bought.
