Kuerig complaint - kuerig

We have a Kuerig Platinum machine that we purchased about a year and a half ago, although we do not use it daily it has never been misused it started acting up about two months ago and only works sporadically. It sometimes does not brew at all and other times will give you a partial cup. We have done the scaling as directed and it doesn't seem to help. I know these machines are not cheap and feel that it is some kind of defect because of what little use it received. Any ideas on how this can be handled? Hard earned money paid for this and it has been a great disappointment.
