Concord Camera ripoff Concord 3042AF Camera does not work

During the Christmas season of the Concord 3042AF camera was sold as a special buy at Wal-Mart stores for $99.00. We opened the camera on Christmas Day and began making pictures. The camera would work for a short while, discharging the batteries rapidly, then would not take pictures and would automatically shut-off after being turned on for a few seconds.

When I notified customer service in Hollywood, FL in January of I couldn't find my receipt. Per their instructions, I sent them the camera along with $15.00 for repair/replacement. They sent me a 2nd new one approximately 1 month later.

Happy to get a new one, I started using it and it lasted only 2 weeks. So in March of I sent in another $15.00 and received another replacement.

When the 4th one arrived, we got to use it for almost 2 months from August to October and now it is doing the same thing. Customer service at Concord will not give me a credit for a new camera or a different camera.

This model camera is obviously defective and has not been carried by Wal-Mart since Christmas of 2003. The company will not stand behind the product.
