Don't stand by their products unusable camera ripoff

Electronics and household app.

Bought a HewlettPackard M425 digital camera with printer in Dec. Of 2006. Christmas gift from my husband to me. Within one week, could not take pictures with memory card. Would not format. Tried buying several memory cards but still did not work. Had the card and camera tested and found the camera was faulty.

Tried several times directly after finding the camera was faulty to contact HP only to be put off. E-mailed them today to tell them once again of the problem, only to be told that yes the camera was faulty but the warranty had run out. (no fooling) and that in order to get my camera replaced, I would have to spend $89.99 to get an extended warranty. I only bought the whole package for $158.00 and they want me to spend that amount, when the camera to buy it brand new probably costs that much. Major rip-off and would not recommend HP products to anyone.

Sent two faulty cameras. One returned was not the name, Omni, it was supposed to be, send another camera and it lasted just six months. Now still owe $500 on two cameras that are worthless

They refused to fix my digital camera with a 4 yr warrentee, when the on/off button broke for the second time in 3 wks. I was blamed for the button breaking
