Ripoff on the extended warranty

I brought my Sony TG50 (sonys' palm pilot) back to worst buy because it had died. When I purchased the extended warranty 16 months ago for $69 I was told "if anything ever happens to it we will replace without any questions". Well today when I brought it back they told me that "I was a liar" and that they "NEVER" tell that to anyone. They said that they have to send it to sony (who by the way) told me that they will not service it as they are out of the PDA business in north america.

I relayed this to the tech who looked at me like I was insane. I asked to speak with a manager and some kid probably still in puberty came over and said he was the only manager and that all the others were at lunch and that he would not do anything to help me (by the way, I had disturbed him while he was playing grab *ss with one of the young ladies in customer service). I just got off the phone with the store manager (who is totaly oblivious to anything) and she told me their policy is to send it out even if it can't be fixed. But I could always go buy a brand new one for $400 and return it in 3 weeks for a refund when (if) mine comes back. I told her that was the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard and that I will not purchase any more products from best buy. Her attitude was ok.
