Inc. Ripoff, Offer of Investment with guarenteed Returns in 90 days

Printworks Art Publishers Inc. Called me in February in and offered me an investment opportunity which would double to quadruple my money within 90 days. They requested I use my credit card. Bob Green was the salesman. He guarenteed the investment.

Within 60 days Printworks informed us that Bob Green was in the hospital with a terminal Kidney disease and was not expected to live. At 90 days we were contacted by a Jamie Richardson who was the supposed owner of the company, and stated that he would need more time to sale our artwork to give us our return.

We were then contacted by Printworks by a Mark??? Who stated that Jamie Richardson no longer worked for them and that he was the owner of the company. He stated the need for more time to re-sell the artwork by the 3rd week of July. And then were told the art work didnt make the list to be sold and that they would re-sell it the 3rd week of August.

After returning from vacation the forth week of August. We received a letter from Printworks that said:

"Dear Scott, Company policy at printworks Art Publishers is no refunds are permitted. The art is a custom order that you as a customer are aware at the time that you had placed your order.

"As stated at the time you placed your order, these lithographs of the art of Gustave Dore are specialty items that will never be reproduced again. These are rare and valuable works of art that you have purchased and unfortunately we are not in the resale business.

"If you had sent back any art, all art will be returned back to you.

"Display your art. You have a valuable heirloom that you can display and add to your present art collection.

Sincerely, Printworks."

Printworks knew from the start that we had no intentions of keeping the art. It was strictly purchased as an investment. Matter of fact Bob Green had to call me 6 times because I wouldnt bite thinking it to be a scam. But finally he talked my wife into it. Even emailed me the guarantee. Which was just a written guarantee by him in a private email. We purchased 3 lithographs which were supposed to be # 1 prints. I was told by Printworks these lithographs should not have been sold to anyone for under 2,500 a piece. We purchased all 3 for 5,000.

If these men were true investors. You would think they would be interested in a real good deal in refunding our purchase price. No these men are liars and scam artist.
