Rip-off!

I was contacted by a man saying that i had been chosen to receive a free government grant. I was excited at first and asked him if this would require any money from me. He said that it would not cost me a dime unless i authorized it.

He then transfered me to his manager and i was told that i would have to pay a one time fee of 249.00. And he then proceded to read off my checking account information. I was floored to say the least that he had my information.

I asked him where he got it and he said the irs gave it to him so that i could be contacted. I hung up and he called me back three times after i made it clear that i was not interested. Since then i have found out that the irs did not give him my informationa and that this was a scam to rip me off and take the money wether i approved it or not.

I have had to close out my old checking account and reopen another one. To this day i have no idea where he got my account inofrmation. To anyone thinking of giving money to this company watch out! Its a huge ripoff!
