Scam, Will Steal Your Checking Account

I received a call around 8am from a guy named Greg. He had a very thick Arabian accent. He told me that I was approved to receive a 12,500 Government Grant that I didn't have to pay back.

He asked my name, which was the first thing that struck me as odd. If I was already approved for this grant, shouldn't he already know my name? Then he asked if I filed taxes last year, and if I was a US citizen, again, if I was already approved he should have known all this information, but I answered him anyway.

Finally he got to asking my checking account number saying that he needed it for a $49.95 processing fee, luckily for me I have been on usacomplaints.com before and seen the kind of scams this company is running.
I told him very politely that I didn't give out my checking account number over the phone. He tried to tell me that I had nothing to worry about that no one else would get it. He kept getting more and more frustrated everytime I delined him.

Finally I just told him that I had read a report on his company and I knew he was a scam. He cursed at me then hung up.

do not give your checking account info to these people.
The use the number to continue to rob you and there is nothing you can do about it except change account numbers. This goes without saying, but don't ever give out your checking info unless your 100% sure about the company. I hope this helps someone in the future like someone elses report helped me.
