Ripoff, scam, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is, watch for up front fees

If anybody asks for a fee up front, hang up.
Talked to a Stacy at this company and all sounded so wonderful. Called back and talked to a man and he was great too.
The key catch is that they are searching for help in locating people who have a refund due from HUD/FHA. If it's got the governments name in it, must be legitimate. Only after I did the stupid thing of giving a check number to hold for 2 days, I went on line and found this site. I called my bank immediately put a stop payment on the check # (it had not been put through) and closed my account.
Just a note of advice from my banker, don't just withdraw funds and close account without a stop payment on your check # you gave. It can reopen the account when the transfer tries to come through up to 90 days after account is closed causing an overdraft and possible extra bank fees.
