Big Ripoff!

Being so young, I haven't had a chance to build any credit. That's when I got a call from Capital Financial. Excited, I gave them my information (Stupid thing to do, I know). I was a little worried about the company, thinking they might be from capital one, I went home and decided to look them up, only to find this website.

It was after 6, so the customer service line was closed, as was my bank. I called back the 800# they had called me from originally. To my surprise someone answered and the converstation was quick. I had pretended like I hadn't talked to them before and this was the conversation:

Me: "Hi! I had gotten a call from this number earlier?"
CF: "You've been approved for a credit card with Capital Financial!"
Me: "I haven't told you my name"
CF: "We have a 100% approval rate here ma'am, can I please have your first and last name?"
Me: "actually I opened a card about an hour ago, and I would like to cancel."
CF: "Do you have the c.S. Line?"
Me: "yes but they're closed, And I need to close the card because of recent information I've found saying this company is a fraud"
CF: "Fraud? What are you talking about?"
Me: "I don't want to play these games, I want to cancel my card."
CF: "That's not my problem, have a nice day!"

Angered, I waited until morning and called my bank 20 minutes before they opened. Luckily someone was there and put a freeze on my account. Thing is, Since I agreed to them over the phone, I can close my account and open a new one BUT, if they try to take it from the bank, then I have to pay the bank.

Sitting in the bank today infront of my mother and the rep. I called the c.S. Line and asked them to cancel my account. I spoke to Vanice who told me the account was cancelled and there would be NO money taken out of the account.

Now I wait to make sure. The account has been closed, but my bank will let me know if I have to file a dispute or not. This was insane. Please warn all!!! We need to stop this Now!!!
