Credit card ach ripoff

I just received my bank statement and saw a $200.00 withdraw from American Financial on 8/2/07. I don't know who this company is so I called and only received a recording. I viewed other rip-off complaints about this company on the internet. Immediately I called my bank and put a stop payment/dispute against this. They didn't sound surprised at all. I had many checks returned this month costing me alot of late fees, overdraft fees, and returned check fees due to this withdraw. This stop payment is in effect for 6 months, but I plan to close my account and open a new one. I will pursue this legally if possible.
