I know Scrap in a Snap as well and I can vouch that they have indeed sent a number of bad checks to consultants. Some consultants simply tried to cash the checks and they bounced. For some of these consultants, it took them weeks before they could try to cash them again. Other consultants were smart enough to call their bank to see if there was even enough money in their checking account so the check would clear - there wasn't. So they just called everyday until they finally deposited enough money. I know for fact this is against the law, not to mention highly unethical. It is my opinion that I wouldn't want to be a part of a company that treats their consultants this way.

I heard that the president of the company claims all of they're taxes are paid. I even called a few states myself yesterday and I have found out that they still aren't even registered in a number of states to pay state sales taxes. This is just unamerican. With all the problems, a lot of states are having with they're budgets, it seems that this company may be taking the money there consultants pay them and not paying they're taxes to the states they owe. I think the company has denied this from what I read, but I found this out for myself by just making a few phone calls.

I would be careful. They don't seem to be honest.
