Scrap In A Snap
Current and future consultants beware

I was a consultant for Scrap in a Snap until recently. I just want to warn everyone who is involved with Scrap in a Snap to read the fine print on the Consultant Agreement form. It states:

I understand that I am responsible for filing all reports required by federal, state and local government taxing authorities and paying all taxes arising from my activities as an Independent Consultant. I will not be treated as an employee in regard to any laws covering employees, including but not limited to the Federal Insurance Contributions Act, the Social Security Act, the Federal Unemployment Tax Act, income tax withholding or any federal, state, or local tax laws.

When I signed on with Scrap in a Snap, they had me send in a form authorizing them to pay the tax for me. Most consultants have done this! They have been collecting the money and not paying up, and consultants can get in trouble for it!!!

Check with your state to see if Scrap in a Snap has been paying the taxes that they have been collecting. You can get pinned for it!!!
