MMI Simple Escapes
Gave me the runaround never got my $ back. Help!

I had a charge of $99.00 applied to my credit/debit card. I looked it up and saw MMI Simple Escapes as the description. I remembered that name from a junk mail that I had just ramdomly opened. They said I had to cancel within a month to not get charged... But the letter didn't come until 2 days before I had to cancel!!!

Appariently, when I bought merchandise through a different company, they asked me if I wanted to get 1 month free benefits from a company called Homeworks, or something like that. So naturally I had some redecorating to do so I said yes. Within the month (they had sent me a letter a week after I placed the order) I CANCELLED my membership to THIS CO. Only. I was NEVER told I would be subscribing to 2 Co's.

So, I called them up and bitched them out. They told me there was nothing that they could do and they would offer me a rebate. I had my hands tied and I was frustrated, so I said send it to me. It gets better, I tried to go ahead and use my very expensive membership to get hotel bookings and the blackout dates were incredible. I got the rebates, but they are only good at a certain time of the year and have to be sent in with a retail receipt. So basically, I will get a portion of my money back by 2005. Life is Beautiful. God Bless all of you who had to go through any scam of any kind. Stick in there.
