Kaplan University
Overcharged for a two year stay and refused to give me a degree but only transfered 6 credits

I enrolled at Kaplan in 2006. I continued courses online until August. I began having problems with the employees answering my finical questions. No one wanted to answer any concerns that I had pertaining to the high rise of my loans. I proceeded to call my bank to question them.in response the bank stated that the funds were requested. I also received grants to assist me in college I received around 12,000 in grants I received 24,000 in loans from my bank. I am quite sure that a portion of my money from grants contributed greatly causing some funds to lapse. Kaplan charges $ 353.00 per credit and $100.00 per class for tech fees. And this I felt was ok. So after being unsuccessful with the employees I wanted to transfer. I enrolled at University of Phoenix. Kaplan lied to phoenix stating that I was discharged from their intuition. Phoenix has a policy that if you're kicked out of an institution you will not get accepted into phoenix. I proved otherwise I provided phoenix with a copy of the letter I received from Kaplan stating that I need to enroll in upcoming classes.

Kaplan took 5 months just to fax a copy of my credits. After 2 months of attending Phoenix I received a exit counseling letter from Kaplan. Which were only 6 credits for two years? I did not receive an associated degree or anything. I have been trying to contact them still to resolve this issue and I am unsuccessful. I owe $24,000 and have nothing to show for it.
