We noticed a charge on our bank statement on May 2 for $61.02 to POS PURCH - 4814 DIRECT ONE, LLC CA (800) 665-527 DIRECT ONE LLC.

Since all of our purchase records are electronic, we were able to verify that that no purchases were made that day or the preceeding day from any company outside of Illinois. We contacted our bank, which started a large paperwork trail to dispute the charge and get it reversed. We located the company address and telephone number and called them. They DirectOne LLC (Laylah) informed us that the purchase was authorized through a popup ad on VistaPrint.com's web site.

Apparently VistaPrint shares all information from all purchases with DirectOne LLC including your credit/debit card information. When we informed Laylah that this was an unauthorized charge, she began to get hostile and threaten not only not remove the charge but to add additional charges to our account. She stated that if we had read the full terms and conditions on the popup, we would have known that we had 10 days to reverse our order. She did inform us that we "may" receive a refund into our account in 7 to 10 days.

We had to cancel our debit cards and order replacements at further cost to us.

I did check the computer used in the transaction and found the popup ad. Apparently, when you try to close, minimize the popup window or click on the terms button, it sent an authorization for purchase code to DirectOne mail server. I will be installing a popup blocking system on all machines within my home to hopefully prevent this from occurring again.

We will be printing all of the complaints filed on this site to include with our theft report with the local states attorney - internet crimes unit.
