I was balancing my checkbook today and saw a charge that I did not make in the amount of $61.02. I see that I am far from alone. Using this site, I called Direct One and after many minutes, I was provided with what they do. They sell calling cards and long distance over the internet, but not in the way you think.

Direct one is getting all out credit card and debit card numbers from their partner companies. These companies are internet based. One such company is perfectcollectibles.com

In my case, I ordered from PerfectCollectibles.com and a pop-up ad came up. Respond to the ad or close it, it didn't matter. They still have your credit card digits and charge you.

After filing my report not 10 minutes ago, I thought that I should add that I think I know HOW THEY ARE GETTING OUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD NUMBERS. This company is obviously listed by many names and is in partnership with many more. These companies are web based and, in my case, they STOLE my information from PERFECTCOLLECTIBLES.com AFTER I BOUGHT SOMETHING FROM THIS SITE. I was informed of this by "Danny" when I called to get a refund. He informed me that they share customer information with each other. That DID INCLUDE MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER & EMAIL.

I am willing to bet that alot of you bought something online right about the time that you began to get these charges. Let's see who these companies are and EXPOSE them because this is THEFT AND FRAUD.

Only when threatened with a lawsuit could I get the promise of my money back. I could not get, however, the business license # that is by law to be visibly displayed and is public record. I guess we will see in 2-3 days whether I got a refund. If not, then bring on the class action!
