Kaplan University
You will get nothing from Kaplan but in debt

I am writing this after reading what other students have been through with Kaplan University. All though I feel badly for them I was relieved to hear that I am not alone in my frustration, disappointment, and anger. My report would be only a repeat of the other reports on this site that I have read.

Attending Kaplan was the biggest mistake of my life. It was hard enough to get the courage up to go back to school at the age of 40 and basically start over with a new career. The only thing that I have gotten out of continuing my education is a debt of $30,000.00.

Two months before my graduation date I was told by Kaplan that I was being blocked from class because my account was seriously delinquent and that I had an out of pocket expense of $3000.00! What the heck? For what? I got transferred to this person then that person and not one of them was ever on the same page. There was never any record of my phone calls. Finally I got my Adm Adv interested in helping me out. The next day I learned he no longer worked for Kaplan!

I am now in debt with no degree, no job and no way of paying back these loans! I tried getting my transcript from Kaplan and sent them a check for five bucks. Never rec'd any reply. So I had my local college try. They were told that they had no record of me ever attending Kaplan! I am at a loss and getting more and more angry. If anyone knows how to join in the class action lawsuit currently pending against Kaplan please contact me
