Uninsured, illegal, or just irresponsible?...

This loser caused an accident on September 12th that damaged my car. He conned me into taking the car to his "uncle's" body shop, MR Custom Motorsports, which was a block away from the accident.By the way, he told me he was too busy talking to his wife, Trudy, when he ran through the stop sign, he just didn't see me.

It's a red Mustang. How can you miss that? Anyway, I left the car there for 4 days then when I went to pick it up, the body work was shotty. The dent was pulled out, but a huge crease that goes down the entire back quarterpanel of the car remains. The paint they used to "touch up" did not match the rest of the car. The moulding was not fixed or straighted. The rear bumper does not match up with the body of the car.

On top of that, it had rained for several days, the car was left outside, with the damn windows down! Now the interior smells like mildew, and I was trying to sell this car! There was nothing I could do, and Donald was not there.

I have written him letters, filed an accident report with the State of Texas, and called him, only to leave messages that never get returned. I've learned my lesson to never give anyone the benefit of the doubt. Never ever leave the scene of any accident no matter how minor, without getting the other persons involved insurance information.

And if they have no insurance, call the police, so at least they will get ticketed for being irresponsible. My mistake was not calling the police to the scene I'd guess, because now they say there is nothing that they can do about it. No laywer will touch this because I was stupid, and did not get his insurance information. The North Dakota plates on his newer Chevy S10 (# GVD 170) should have given me my first clue.
