Shoddy work unauthorized work unethical practices

This body shop ripped me off and should be avoided.in April my vehicle was in an accident and I took it to Miracle Paint & Body because they said they would pay my deductible. They did end up paying it but it took them 21 days to fix the door and bumper. Miracle took so long I had to pay $289 since my rental car insurance with Geico was only for 14 days. The shop did not want to cover the additional cost and had no good reason for why they took so long.

The real trouble came in November. I noticed the bumper was off and checked under the vehicle. Miracle had not put the bumper on correctly.in doing so, they stripped the bumper clips, the paint was cracking and peeling, and it looked bad.in addition, the door was rubbing against the side and when you opened the door on my Honda Civic you would hear a clicking sound as the door rubbed against the body. I took the vehicle to Miracle and told them to fix the door ONLY because they blamed me for the bumper. The owner, Manuel Rubio, said I stripped it myself, on both sides apparaently.

When I came to pick up the vehicle, they had fixed the door AND the paint. Manuel wanted $125 and would not give me the vehicle without CASH only, despite having a credit card logo sign outside. I called the police but Leon Valley said it was a civil matter and there was nothing I could do. On top of that, Manuel did not fix the bumper where it was stripped, all he did was replace 4 clips! The service was ridiculous and he kept insisting that I authorized him to do the work.

I had to pay this crook $289 for taking so long to fix my car, then $125 CASH because he fixed my bumper when I told him not to. If I could do it over again, I would have just taken my car to Benson or Gunn Collision and just avoided this shop. This person embarassed me in front of his customers, made me have to call the police, and on top of that the bumper is still stripped! Don't say I did not warn you, this shop's service is garbabe.
