Bully intimidating collections threatening

I received a call today from this agency for a past due debt. The gentleman stated that he represented a vendor of ours and wanted to know when he could expect payment of $2500.00. I told him that he would need to speak to the owner of the company and that he was out of the building today but expected in tomorrrow. He then wanted the owners cell phone number. When I POLITELY refused he became irrate. He told me that when he litigated for the the debt I would not have a job to be worried about and then wanted to know if that would change my mind. I told him politely but firmly, no that it would not change my mind. He then asked me what I was hiding from, I again politely told him nothing and gave him our physical address. He asked me this three times. I gave him the address three times. He never gave me the opportunity to tell him that on January 25 our business burned. The building and most contents are a total loss. All of our records are ash.in the whole scheme of things, his little debt doesn't hit the radar. We have tried to speak with vendors as they call to explain our situation and that insurance is proceeding at THEIR own pace, this gentleman didn't give me that opportunity to explain. I am not an attorney, but I feel confident that he broke several fair debt collection laws.
