ColumbiaHouse DVD Columbia House sent my account to a collections agency without my knowledge for membership I had completed years ago

Tried billing me for erroneous charges for DVDs I never received after I had paid off my membership requirements. Columbia House proceeded to pass my supposedly closed account on to a Collection agency without notifying me and thereby a derogatory mark was placed in my credit report here by hampering my credit score. Tried to no avail to reach out to them to get this rectified and no one has even come forward with any degree of decency to address my issue.
