Direct buy is a scam artist, pressure sales, and they tack on the pressure by telling you if you don't sign then and there, you can't ever.

I've researched the web to find a way to get out of their contract i've seen in british columbia they are breaking laws and it's very easy to get out of the contract, but i have yet to check the laws in ontario to see if the same is true for here.

I was duped into giveing them $500 at signing and the rest was financed with a us based company. Which is owned and operated by direct buy international. My wife and myself signed, and phoned the local center later the same day, with the intentions of cancleing, we had thought it over, and descided it wasen't for us. However we were told we could not cancle the contract and were liable for the entire amount.

We have not since paid any monies to direct buy, and have apparently had it sent to collections, where i have very politely told them to go f* themselves and i'll see them in court if need be. I take it as my own fault, and know i won't see the $500 ever again, but i'll be damned if i'm giving them anymore. After doing the research on the web, i see they have a horrible reputation GLOBALLY, and i can't belive we were duped into this scam.

If someone would be interested in a class action lawsuit i'd be into it. As a canadian citizen, i'm sure we have laws that protect us from such slezzy companies and their poor practises.

Will keep you people updated if they do take it further to court. Will be interesting to see if they take it that far. Personally, my credit score os pretty much screwed anyways, so i'm certainly not worried about that being on my credit.
