Called me claiming that they would send me a grant of about $4300 once i sent $359 to them. Ripoff

A lady by the name of Kim Joseph whose ID# she said was 121 called me saying that she was with american standard financial and told me that if i sent her a one time fee of $359 she would then send me grant money which would total approx. $4300.

I could barely understand her because she had a very heavy accent. Once she was done verifying my name she sent me to another lady who also had a very heavy accent and said she was with a fed. Gov. Funding agency. They asked when i would be able to make the one time payment and i gave them a future date so that i could look up more information on them.

They gave me a customer service number... So when i hung up i automatically called the number they gave me to try and see if it was a real number. Another woman with a very heavy accent answered the phone and i asked her about not being able to make my payment and how i would arrange that with them... She said to call them 2 days ahead of the date i had scheduled and she would arrange a different payment date with them.

The phone number they gave me was a valid number to their so called company but i had a weird feeling so i looked up information on them and... Apparently it is a fraud situation as i had thought. I thought that it was weird for someone to ask for a one time fee for a so-called "Grant";it didnt make since to me.

These people obviously need to be legally pursued because they are obviously doing this to multiple people all over the united states and they are now trying to keep themselves out of trouble by using a recording. They recorded talking to me and explained the information and stipulations to me. They told me before the recording started that if i had any questions to wait till the recording was over. They are trying to be very sneaky about it. It just isnt right that there are people out there that are this scandalous.
