Midland Funding - Scammed me more than once! Ripoff

I am embarrassed and ashamed to say this but... Midland has scammed me more than once. About 12 years ago, I lost my job and was a single mom. I closed 3 accounts. One was Ny telephone. Another was Citibank Credit card. I paid off all debts. Midland contacted me about 2 years ago. I had to pay my phone account again. "there's no record of it". That was a little over $500. I had to pay my Citibank again later that year as well. Midland wanted $800 this time. They stated I could not settle, it had to be paid in full.

I didnt have records to prove it so I paid it. My credit score was almost 800 and I didnt want to ruin it. The company said "They just purchased the Citibank information from them." Citibank said there was no records. The accounts were closed off. They are scam artists. This was two years ago, I contacted Verizon and everything was closed off previously through them too. Midland harrassed me by phone. They sent me collection letters. The are very rude. I paid off both nills again. This time I kept my information.

Well after paying off the Citibank bill 2xs through them they sent me another bill today. Once again "This is the first time we received this account". The citibank account was closed off over a decade ago. Citibank wrote off the bills and have no records account at all. The account numbers and amount is never consistant with Midland. 1994 was when the account was closed for citibank. I paid a collections in 1999. I paid again in about 2005 this time through Midland. 2006 last year again same bill another account number and amount but same card. I have my records and I'm going through them now. Midland is charging me yet again. They use the same information over and over again. The lines never change with one exception.

This time the "debt manager" states that they will write it off this time. Lol Last time it will bring down my credit rating until I pay it because theres no record of me making payments and no matter what i say I will be reported. Ths time, it will be written off. I am so stressed out now. I am not working. I'm at home with my children. I am a single mom. I have enough problems. I shouldnt be hounded for something I paid my debt for over and over again.

DO NOT PAY THEM. You will just be billed again and the information is never the same. Somehow they have my personal information and thats why I trusted them the first time! They had my address, social security number, etc. They scammed me out of atleast $ maybe more!
